Laptops are commonly used in business settings. As with any business application, laptops have advantages and disadvantages. Their portability and wireless capabilities (WiFi) are obvious advantages. They are prone to damage, however. There are a variety of situations in which it is cheaper to replace your laptop than to repair it. Whenever you are faced with this dilemma, we will assist you in making the right decision.
No Hourly Fees – Parts Extra – The Westie Design support package includes laptop repair, maintenance, and virus removal services, however hardware items (parts) that are needed for repairs will need to be purchased separately.

Keyboard Replacement
We’ve all spilled coffee, soda or water on our keyboards at some point. Drops, accidents, and wear and tear can all lead to keyboard replacements. If the need arises, Westie Design will be able to replace your keyboard.
Memory Upgrade
You can increase your laptop’s speed and performance by upgrading/increasing its memory (RAM). However, not all laptops can be easily upgraded. Some laptops CANNOT be upgraded. We can assist you in making this determination and provide the services you need.
Laptop Hard Drives - Reinstall Windows
Replacement of the hard drive and reinstalling Windows depends on the age of the laptop. We do not recommend this for PCs older than 5 years.
Laptop Software
Internet / Wireless
Providing your employees with wireless broadband access (WiFi) without the use of Ethernet cables. It’s particularly useful for laptops since it allows employees to use their laptops in any office or work area within range of a wireless access point.
Printer Setup
We load the appropriate drivers for setting up a printer or series of printers on your business network to work from your laptop.
Data Transfer / Backup
It can be frustrating to lose data due to computer problems or hard disk failures. Making sure safeguards are in place before a problem occurs is the first step toward preventing it and/or recovering from it in the future. By regularly backing up your data and settings, we can help you avoid the aggravation.
Data Recovery
Depending on a number of factors, this could be a costly endeavor to try to recover lost data. A cost of $1000 to $3000 can be expected. Therefore, having a business cloud backup solution in place beforehand is a much safer solution.
Password Recovery
We can help you reset your Windows password if you forget it. Depending on your system, you can accomplish this in different ways. It will either be a domain or a workgroup. Feel free to contact us.
